Eureka, Missouri (MacQueen Emergency) – Fast-growing MacQueen Emergency opened their seventh service location in Eureka, Missouri this September. This new 11,000-square-foot, six-bay facility specializes in service and repairs for all makes of fire, ambulance and rescue equipment.

In 2018, Minnesota-based MacQueen Emergency acquired Schuhmacher Fire Equipment, LLC, the previous Pierce Manufacturing dealer for the state of Missouri. Schuhmacher had contracted service with Rescue Repair Inc. In May 2019, MacQueen acquired Rescue Repair, Inc.—a mobile repair provider with a 27-year service history in Missouri.

Now operating under the Macqueen Emergency brand, the group decided to add a brick and mortar location closer to their customer base.

“We’re still going to have the mobile repair technicians out in the field, but now we’ve also got the ability to bring trucks into the shop for bigger repairs and longer-term projects,” said MacQueen Director of Parts and Service Dave Gannon.

Headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, MacQueen Emergency brings a multi-state network of service, training and parts resources to the new Missouri location.  MacQueen Emergency is also the authorized Pierce dealer for Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota.

“We can do any mechanical work, pump work, electrical, brakes—anything that’s on a fire truck, we should be able to repair. We haven’t found anything we can’t fix!” said Clifford King, a 15-year veteran technician working at the new Eureka location. “Now customers can bring their vehicle to a secure location, and they can be assured that it will be worked on just like if it was at their firehouse.”

The new location also gives MacQueen Emergency an opportunity to expand their local inventory of heavy equipment parts as well as emergency apparel, safety tools and other miscellaneous equipment to outfit vehicles and operators.

In addition to parts and service, MacQueen Emergency assists local fire and emergency departments with operator training, equipment demonstrations, annual pump testing and routine inspections. “Now we have one home base for all these different operations in Missouri,” said Gannon.

Mobile technicians will remain on call to provide on-site, after-hours repairs as needed. “It’s all the same people and the services we’ve always offered, but now with the option of a service center,” said King.

MacQueen Emergency is proud to be part of St. Louis County and will be hosting and open house for neighboring residents and vendors this spring—details coming soon!
