On February 12th, Pierce Manufacturing Inc. announced the delivery of the 2000th Pierce Ultimate Configuration (PUC) pumper! Having been introduced in 2007, this significant milestone represents the tremendous impact that the apparatus has had in the industry since then.

The department that took delivery of the 2000th PUC is the Appleton Fire Department, meaning that the apparatus will service the same community where Pierce Manufacturing has operated for over 100 years. Appleton’s unit is on a Velocity custom chassis featuring a Cummins L9 engine, TAK-4 Independent Front Suspension, 750-gallon water tank, Husk 12 Foam System and 1500 GPM PUC Pump.

The Pierce PUC is the first modern tilt cab emergency response vehicle designed specifically for the response duties of today’s fire services. By eliminating the pumphouse, the PUC allows you to build your apparatus around your needs instead of the pump.

PUC is available on pumpers, rescue pumpers, tankers, and aerials.
